Penn Foundation to offer mental health first aid training – Montgomery Newspapers

Mental health first aid is a little different than first aid for physical injuries, but it aims to do the same thing.

“You can’t apply direct pressure like you can with a cut,” said Kathy McCafferty, Penn Foundation’s director of education and training.

“But you can identify certain types of signals and signs of distress,” she said, “and how to get help.”
