Boulder County agencies prepare to deal with mental health incidents

Boulder County law enforcement officials are facing more mental health-related incidents, such as suicide threats, and are training to deal with them.

Though statistics for calls involving suicidal parties aren’t readily available, the number of countywide 72-hour mental health holds has increased in recent years, said Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle.
