Girl Scout tackles tough topic of teen suicide

Jacqueline Caserio knew that teen depression and suicide were difficult topics for a Girl Scout to tackle.

But after learning about several students in the Birmingham area who took their lives, the Marian High School junior and member of Girl Scout troop 40-298 decided she wanted to break through the social stigma of mental illness by creating an awareness campaign of “Hope and Help.”
