WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 26, 2017) – Mental Health First Aid USA recently announced they have been awarded a coveted Brandon Hall Group Silver award for excellence in the Best Certification Program category. The program, Mental Health First Aid Re-Certification, was created with Relias Learning, a strategic partner of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and a trusted partner in online analytics, assessments and learning in the health
care industry.
“At the National Council we take great pride in the quality of the educational materials we provide,” said Betsy Schwartz, Vice President of Public Education at the National Council. “Working with Relias on the Mental Health First Aid recertification program means we are able to insure our First Aiders are up-to-date on the latest information about mental illness and substance use disorders and how to help people who might need it. We’re honored to receive this award.”
The award entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits.
“Excellence Award winners symbolize the power and impact that Human Capital Management practices can have on a business, organization or community,” said Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Hall Group and head of the awards program. “Many organizations can have great HCM initiatives, but the standard of excellence only applies for organizations whose HCM practices truly benefit all three tiers. That’s what Mental Health First Aid is doing.”
“The opportunity to develop this program for The National Council, one of our most important partners, was a prestigious honor in and of itself” explained Mark Belles, COO of Relias. “To receive such an award from the Brandon Hall Group validates the quality and dedication of our curriculum developers.”
Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference January 31 – February 2, 2018, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Selected winners also will serve as presenters in the more than 20 breakout sessions during the 3½-day event.
